FAQs

"What should I expect on my wedding day?"

Expect a relaxed and fun experience!

My photography style is creative and natural and most importantly I make you feel relaxed. I am there to capture you and your guests having the most amazing time, with as little intrusion to you both as possible.

My photography covers everything as the day unfolds, taking candid photographs of you and your guests, the little details such as flowers, table settings, the rings and the concentration needed when putting on a button hole!

"Do we need two photographers there on the day?"

For the main package there are two photographers.  We work so well together making sure you get the best out of having two photographers, whilst I am photographing the bride getting ready, she is busy capturing great photos of the boys and the guests arriving at the venue or sometime the pub!

Also while one of us is taking some gently directed family groups,  the other can capture the little details such as table decorations.

Two photographers means twice as many photographs but with two different angles and positions, which means we don't keep you away from your guests for too long.

If your having a smaller intimate wedding then I am always happy to offer a bespoke package with just me photographing your wedding.

"Will you meet with us at the venue before the wedding day?"

Yes definitely. I always want to get to know you before the day as I know it's important for you to meet me too. I love to hear about all the little details you have planned and any suprises you may have in store for the guests ... or each other!

At some point before your wedding maybe when you have a food tasting or a meeting arranged we can go for a walk around the venue. I get to hear all the final details and we can take a look to see where the best places are for photographs. I want to hear your ideas too.  I will point out places that I think work for photographs of the two of you alone depending on the time of year and weather.

"What happens if it rains?"

Well no matter what the weather app says, us Brits know that any time of the year there is always a chance of rain! Yet this has never stopped us getting some great shots. At the venue meeting I will always discuss alternative places to take photos on the off chance there is a 'spot of rain'. If it has rained the night before then a pair of wedding wellies and umbrella can always make sure we get where we need to go :)

"I have a phobia about having my photograph taken"

It's true I was told this! In fact at most meetings I hear "We never looked relaxed in photographs" or "He always pulls a weird expression when he smiles at the camera". To be honest I much prefer being behind the camera than in front so I totally understand these fears, but maybe the combination of  my relaxed approach and that you feel fantastic on your wedding day ensures you both actually enjoy having your photographs taken and look good too.

Some couples prefer to have engagement photographs. It's a chance to get to know me better and realise that having your photograph taken is not at all like "going to the dentist". Engagement shoots are fun and relaxed, we can meet up in a location of your choice and spend an hour or two together taking some beautiful, natural photographs, you can bring your dog along too if you like!

"What happens if either us or you meeds to cancel or postpone?"

I have never missed a wedding (touching wood as I type) and it would have to be something mega serious to stop me turning up. If that ever happened then I have a second photographer who is more than capable of taking over for me. I also belong to a group pf photographers who would step in when needed at the last minute!
